About Mama’s Call

Mama’s Call is a lifeline — created from the simple belief that no mother should die while giving birth.
Every day in Nigeria, women face pregnancy and childbirth with fear instead of confidence.
With a maternal mortality ratio of 512 deaths per 100,000 live births, Nigeria accounts for nearly 20% of global maternal deaths, even though only 2.4% of the world’s population lives here.
Many give birth without support: 43% of Nigerian women deliver without a skilled birth attendant, and 1 in 3 mothers do not receive the recommended antenatal care.
Many don’t know what is normal or dangerous.
Many lose babies because help came late contributing to neonatal mortality rates of 34 deaths per 1,000 live births, among the highest in the world.
Too many mothers are buried because they couldn’t reach the right care quickly enough.
Mama’s Call exists to change that.
We are building a future where every pregnant woman has someone to call, someone who listens, someone who understands, and someone who guides her to care — any time, day or night.
Through our 24/7 maternal care hotline, mothers can speak to trained nurses who provide clear answers, early danger-sign detection, emotional support, and direct referrals to trusted facilities.
But Mama’s Call is more than a hotline.
It’s a movement.
We are creating Nigeria’s first national database of pregnant women and new mothers, a connected community where no woman is invisible, alone, or left behind.
We follow up.
We check in.
We stand with mothers until they are safe.
And when a mother is in danger, we don’t wait.
We act.
We intervene.
We save lives.
Every call is a story.
Every story is a chance to prevent tragedy.
Every saved mother becomes a reminder of why we exist.
Mama’s Call is for mothers.
For families.
For communities.
For the Nigeria where childbirth is a moment of joy not fear.
We are here to make sure mothers stay alive, babies are born safely, and every woman feels heard, supported, and connected to care.
Because motherhood should bring life, not take it.
Mama’s Call every mother deserves a chance to live.
